Pretty much all of my best work, and my most creative ideas come during blocks of time with no outer distractions. From periods of deep, laser like focus on one thing. Isolation at it were...

No multitasking, no checking emails, social media or taking any calls. And where it's not essential to the ideation process, no screens.

I'm an early morning person - so doing this first thing, before I'm in a reactive mode personally works best for me. For many friends, it's last thing at night.

The best creators I know all have this ability to block everything else out for sustained periods of time. Even just a couple of hours creates the headspace for the best ideas to evolve...
